Revealed: The New BMW 1-Series

The new BMW 1-Series is certainly an interesting looking vehicle. Appearances may lead us to think that BMW have taken ideas from their 5 and 6 Series. Certainly the small and compact body echoes tones of 'Ford Focus' but - do not be fooled - this bad boy has a suprisingly large amount of room inside! New features of this car include the slightly larger head-on kidney grille, more curvy headlights and a cheeky V-shaped bonnet cements this cars distint identity.

The rear has changed slightly too, with softer rear lights fitted to give it a more exclusive feel, boot space is bigger due to the 30mm longer wheelbase (which, by the way, means you have more leg room!). Satin silver trim interior is perhaps not to everyones taste but, naturally, you have the option of leather or, if you want to feel like Jenson Button, sports seats too (at a price of course...).

Under the bonnet customers can choose either from a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel motors, Start/Stop is offered but not required and there is of course Air Con, Heated Mirrors and Seats. Technical Statistics include 116BHP, 2.0litre engine and does an above average 0-60 in 10.3 seconds. 66MPG and a respectble 114g/km means the environment wont suffer to much.

Sales for this car start in September to buy outright. For the entry-level version, your bank will be around £20,000 lighter - as for the top-end models you'll be looking at around £23,000 with all the funky tech added.
