BMW 3 Series EFFICIENT DYNAMICS
The 320d ED is an outstanding example of all BMW have achieved in fuel and emissions saving technology without compromising performance. It stands very close to the SE in terms of specification and apart from 16" alloy wheels as standard both models benefit from Auto Dual Zone Climate Conrol, Rear Park Distance Control and auto dimming rear-view mirror. Add to this a near full range of 3-series options and there's enough 'toys' to keep the most demanding driver happy.
But its most astounding achievement is its strong fuel economy and low Co2 emissions producing only 109 g/km of CO2 and achieving a staggering 68.9 combined mpg means that the 320d EfficientDynamics Saloon falls into the 13% Benefit-in-Kind band for company car drivers. The car sets an incredible new benchmark for efficiency. To achieve this BMW’s EfficientDynamics include regenerative brakes, stop-start, lowered suspension and aerodynamic alloys to reduce air resistance, while the electric power steering, oil pump and aircon compressor are switched off when not needed.
Despite the fact that this car is the most efficient car that BMW manufacture it hasn’t compromised on any performance. Producing 163bhp and with a maximum torque of 280lb-ft identical to that of the standard version reaching a top speed of 142mph and 0-62 in just 8 seconds.
