The 2010 New VW Sharan
Volkswagen has announced the new Sharan as 'the most advanced people carrier they have ever produced' this is backed up by a promise of class-leading refinement, practicality and efficiency. For starters it is based on an advanced new platform nearly 22cm longer, 9cm wider and 12mm lower which gives the car more driving stability whilst at the same time shredding an impressive 30kg from the current model to improve responsiveness. Now the rear door slide open it allows easier access to the cabin where the seats move, pivot and fold flat into the floor. The Sharan carries forward VW's new looks with sleek lights, thinner grille and sweeping lines down the body. The new model has a range of economical engines in both petrol and the immensely popular Bluemotion Diesel. The Sharan is the first model in the range which benefits from the new generation of Park Assist and other options such as Sat Nav and Adaptive Chassis Control with 3 different damper settings. Sales start in the UK in August and are available to factory order now.
