Honda CR-Z Hybrid

Honda has recently revealed its sporty CR-Z hybrid car at the Geneva Motorshow.

The unique 3-Mode Drive system of the CR-Z means you can switch to Sport, Econ or Normal, the CR-Z will automatically alter the responses of the throttle, steering, idle stop time and climate control, and the level of support from its IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) system. Each driving mode is also linked to the meter lighting, changing from red (SPORT) to blue (NORM) to green (ECON). This unique coupling offers a total power output of 122bhp, CO2 emissions of just 117 g/km and fuel economy of 56.4mpg.

The car shared many components with the Insight hybrid but the CR-Z is shaking off the dull image that other hybrids have with its shorter, lighter, sporty looks and high fuel economy. Plans  are for it to go on sale in the UK by the summer. Prices are not conformed but are expected to be around £20,000.
