Manufacturer Safety Recalls

As well as Toyota Honda, Peugeot and Citroen have announced smaller scale recalls to some of it's vehicles as follows:

Honda Jazz - (02 - 08)

Honda has announced it is to contact it's 171,000+ Honda Jazz drivers to arrange an examination of the Master Power Window Switch as part of safety recalls.

The master window switch in the driver’s door can cause a problem when exposed to large amounts of liquid ingress, for example if the window is left open frequently or for long periods during heavy rain. This can cause the window switch’s circuit board to malfunction and prevent opening or closing of the window. In some rare cases, the circuit board can overheat causing melting or smoke or, potentially, fire although there have been no reported cases of this causing fire to a Jazz in the UK.

There have been no reported cases of a switch malfunction causing fire to a Jazz in the UK.

Not all of the cars recalled will need a replacement switch. However, all recalled cars will be fitted with a waterproof skirt to prevent further water entry.

Peugeot 107 - (05 - 09)

Use the same accelerator pedal as in Toyota's Aygo and as such will be subject to a recall affecting around 6000 drivers

Citroen C1 - (Petrol models only fitted with Electronic Stability Programme)

Also use this part but will only affect a very small number of drivers with the ESP programme.

All the manufacturers involved will be contacting their customers to advise the necessary action but if you have any concerns in the meantime you may contact their customer relations departments by calling:
