New Citroën DS3

Citroën unveilled their all new DS3 at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September billed to rivall the Fiat 500 and the Mini. There are five seats and a large boot space (285 litres) which is similar to that of the fiesta. Yet the attention grabbing design highlights the best of Citroëns ‘Creative Technologie’ the distinctive ‘floating roof’, ‘shark fin’ B-pillar and LED lights giving a sleek design across the front. You’ll be able to spec the roof, wing mirrors and interior bits and bobs in all sorts of colours, making it as customisable as a Mini.

The car will use the chassis on the C3 but suspension settings will be tuned to offer sportier handling. Two HDi diesels – a 90bhp and an 110bhp and three petrol engines – VTi 95, VTi 120 and THP 150 – are fitted with either 5 or 6 speed manual gearboxes. The two HDi DPFS engines will deliver ultra low CO2 emissions of just 99g/km and 115/g km.

The DS3 will arrive in the UK in Spring 2010, prices and further details on this exciting new Citroën model will be announced very soon.
