Residual Value

This is the final market value of the vehicle when it comes to the end of its life on the fleet. It reflects the second hand worth of the vehicle in the often-volatile used car market. The purchase price of the vehicle less the residual value provides the vehicle’s depreciation cost, which is typically the largest single operating cost of a vehicle.
